Salary JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing support, direction and advice to management within OTECH and sister companies on HR procedure, policy, best practice, employment, benefits and various legislation to aid in achieving company directed goals.
This position provides assistance through performing the duties of hiring, recruitment, on-boarding, training assistance, compensation, benefit administration, terminations, career development, and the maintenance of policies and the employee guidebook as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Understanding of computer software applications Basic knowledge of computers Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision Must be able to maintain expected quality levels Must be able to comply with all required policies and procedures JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintaining all payroll data in accordance with OTECH and program requirements to assist accounting Developing, reviewing, and maintaining all policies to ensure they meet legislation, ISO, and company goal requirements Preparing and evaluating all performance reviews for timeliness and appropriate information Preparing recruitment ads and evaluating candidates to ensure they meet requirements for open positions Conducting a comprehensive orientation program to onboard new hires per OTECH's policies, directives, goals, and various legislation as required Coordinating, developing, and administering various benefit programs and associated records that assist OTECH and its employees Providing information to upper management in regard to HR policies, employee information, and legislative matters for various reasons (ex:
discipline, terminations, discrimination, etc.
) Maintaining all HR related information and files as required by company policy or law Preparing employee separation paperwork per any legal requirements Managing of unemployment documents and attendance at any required hearings Management of OTECH's Worker's Compensation program, and maintenance of any records regarding claims and the administration of claims Managing the safety team and meetings to meet company goals Leading accident investigations and preparation of reports for various insurance carriers Managing employee terminations as needed to ensure any legal requirements are met and final administration is completed in a timely manner.
Creating and administering any relevant training as required or per management, department, or legislative requirements Working with temporary staffing agencies to meet company staffing goals as needed Conducting meetings as necessary to discuss changes in benefit programs or legislation Managing employee relations as necessary Development and communication of projects related to HR as necessary Categorizing reasons for employee turnover on a monthly basis and working with the management team to identify patterns and solutions to reduce turnover.
Complete all necessary annual training items (Forklift, Crane, Department specific training) Work with TPA to evaluate benefits and conduct a timely enrollment.
Maintaining job descriptions and updating annually Working with management team to update and formalize all SOPs and coordinate training on all as needed Working with various departments to develop department specific training programs JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required Professional certification (e.
g.

Ability to observe high levels of confidentiality Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
Strong interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
